A randomized control trial for evaluation of implant stability, success rate and loading time with photofunctionalized dental implants in fresh extraction socket

Purpose- Dental implants have become a predictable treatment option for restoring missing teeth. The use of dental implants in oral rehabilitation has currently been increasing since clinical studies with dental implant treatment have revealed successful outcomes. There are definite advantages of doing immediate implant i.e. saving time and money. The aim was to evalaute role of photofunctionalisation on enhanced implant stability or early rehabilitation.

Dilemma of thromboinflamation in the pandemic of covid-19

Background: COVID-19 is a current pandemic with its rapid alarming spread. COVID-19 is associated with an increased risk of thrombosis due to a transient heightened inflammatory state. Thromboinflamation can lead to severe manifestations and death in a proportion of patients. Recent literature document that micro thrombosis is one of primary lung pathophysiology in COVID-19. To determine the factors involved in micro thrombosis severity in COVID-19 will help to understand better about this disease.

Covid 19 related effusion cytology: mimicker of malignancy! three case report with literature review

Objective: COVID-19 has emerged as the biggest challenge to the mankind. Pleural effusion is one of the common manifestations of COVID-19. We present cytological findings in two cases of pleural effusion and one case of pericardial effusion related to COVID-19. Design: A report of three cases. Results: Two cases of pleural effusion that presented 20 days after recovering from COVID-19 and one case of pericardial effusion during the course of illness. All these three cases showed cytological features such as reactive mesothelial cells which can mimic malignancy.

Background: Amid uncertainty over the completion of the natural history of Coivid-19 and the pandemic, it becomes imperative to review and adjust public health and social measures during the pandemic. An Intra-Action Review (IAR) was employed to allow district level stakeholders to reflect up on the on oing out break response andto identify the current best practices, the achievements, and the challenges faced.

The utility of telemedicine in general surgery during covid-19 pandemic and beyond: our experience

A cross-sectional study on burden among wives of alcoholics

Alcoholism is one of the major health and social problems all over the world. Often the family members of alcoholics suffer intense psychological, physical and social trauma due to the core drinking problem of the family member. The aim of the study was to assess the coping pattern among spouse of alcoholics. This study design was a cross sectional survey. The sample size was 100 persons with alcohol problems. The present study adopted purposive sampling technique and appropriate tools were used to collect the data.
