Renal dysplasia with giant rena; l calculus: management nightmare

Large Renal stones more than 5 cm are called as Giant Renal Calculus. They are rare and few cases are reported in literature which are more than 100 gm and more than 10 cm in maximum dimension. We are reporting a case of 72years female presented with left flank pain and a history of open Anderson Hynes pyeloplasty done 25 years back. On evaluation she was found to have a large Renal calculus 12 x 8.5 cmin a solitary functioning Kidney which was removed by performing Open Pyelolithotomy to deliver solitary large Renal calculus measuring 11.5 x 8.5 cm and weighing 457 gm.

Background: Self Management of Diabetes and compliance to treatment has a strong correlation with glycaemic control and prevention of complications. There are inter-state variations in relation to the above and paucity of literature particularly from North Eastern states of our country. Hence, the study was conducted to assess the self-management practices and compliance to treatment among diabetes in Tripura.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna or PM-JAY was launched on 23rd September, 2018. In our state Chhattisgarh it is run as Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojna (DKBSSY).

Effect of covid – 19 pandemic on the biological rhythms and mental health in medical students and use of coping strategies: a cross-sectional study

Background: The COVID-19 Pandemic had a high impact on the education system especially medical education. The shift from physical to online classes, social distancing has placed medical students under harsh psychological conditions leading to mental stress, post-traumatic stress disorder which is disregarded. Hence, we are aiming to assess and correlate the biological rhythms, coping strategies, and mental health in medical students.

A review on aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is most commonly used therapy for the relaxation purpose to overcome symptoms associated with psychological or physical disorder. For this purpose essential oils are most commonly used. Aromatherapy is one of the complementary therapies which use essential oils as the therapeutic agents to treat several diseases. The essential oils obtained from various parts of plant species including leaves, flowers, fruits and others. It came into existence after the scientists deciphered the antiseptic and skin permeability properties of essential oils.
