Echinococcusgranulosus is the most common form of echinococcal infection in humans. Liver is the most common affected organ followed by lungs. Lung infection is usually secondary to liver. Hydatid cyst formation is the most common presentation. In the present report, we report a case of pulmonary echinococcosis in elderly male who presented with non-resolving consolidation. Diagnosis was confirmed microbiologically. Patient was managed with medical treatment. Pulmonary Echinococcosis should be considered in patients presenting with chest symptoms and non-resolving chest lesions radiologically, especially in endemic areas.
